Swimming Pool

Designed from the outset with the intention of providing a warm, safe environment for children learning to swim, our pool has a flat floor, in-pool staircase and is maintained at a higher temperature than most. Well aware of the "cold shoulder" effect, which can be so off-putting for children when they are in the water, we also heat the surrounding air to ensure they are as comfortable as possible.

Having tried UV water treatment and been unsatisfied with the results, we now use chlorine to maintain pool water quality. Knowing full well that some children can be sensitive to chlorine we test the water regularly and adopt a "little and often" approach, thereby keeping concentrations at the very lowest levels comensurate with good hygiene practice.

We are only too happy for you to watch your child's swimming lesson should you so wish and there is a seating area at the end of the pool. Alternatively, you may decide to visit the adjacent Golf Club for refreshments, just tell them you are from the swimming pool and you will receive a warm welcome.
